Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapy
Ages birth – 21 years
Helping children find their voice, build confidence, and feel more comfortable at mealtimes.
At Creative Therapeutics, we believe every child has something to say, and every child deserves to feel successful when communicating, eating, and participating in everyday life.
Our pediatric speech-language pathologist provides individualized, play-based therapy designed to meet your child where they are and help them build meaningful skills in a supportive, engaging environment.
Pediatric speech therapy provides appropriate evaluation, management and treatment of communication disorders that may be significantly impacting your child’s quality of life. Speech therapy for communication can include an array of topics such as, expressive/receptive language, social skills, voice, fluency, cognitive communication, articulation and AAC use. Therapy is provided using a play-based, child-centered approach to target your child’s ability to effectively communicate wants and needs, produce age appropriate speech sounds, answer questions, follow directions, and utilize multi-modal forms of communication as appropriate. Less commonly known, pediatric SLPs (Speech-Language Pathologists) also treat feeding and swallowing disorders. Reasons for feeding and swallowing therapy may include coughing or choking while eating, difficulty transitioning to solid foods, difficulty drinking from a cup or straw, difficulty chewing/swallowing certain textures and unusually “picky” eating. Play-Based Therapy
Engaging activities help children learn and practice new skills in a way that feels natural and motivating.
Individualized Goals
Treatment plans are developed around your child's unique strengths, needs, interests, and developmental goals.
Family Collaboration
Parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapy process. We provide strategies and education to help skills carry over beyond the therapy session.
